Outbreaks of rain will clear southwards on Monday, followed by a strong, cold northerly airflow for a couple of days. These northerly winds, perhaps up to gale force in the north will bring a mixture of sunshine and showers, the showers wintry over the higher mountains of Scotland. Showers should be few and far between for many southwestern areas with more sunshine here. During the rest of next week, temperatures should slowly recover to nearer the seasonal average as winds back round more to the west, but it is likely to remain unsettled and at times windy, especially in the north. The sunniest weather is likely to transfer more towards the southeast. Little change is likely into the following week, rather unsettled and at times windy with temperatures near normal.

Sometimes windy especially in the north and west where there is a risk of gales, and breezy at times elsewhere as well. Temperatures for the most part close to the seasonal average although it will feel quite cool at times in the wind. Overnight temperatures as well will be close to normal with no significant frost problems expected.

What fog & what sun. As for temps. being above average, you're having a laugh. You're f/cast is total rubbish, nothing like reality. It's actually dull, dry, chilly & breezy with temps abnormally cold for time of year. It will improve (can't physically get worse), but please take a little more care & try looking out the window for once......it really does help.

There could be some rain across southeastern parts at first on Wednesday. However, this should quickly move away with high pressure once again becoming established across much of the UK during the latter part of next week, through next weekend and into the following week. This will lead to dry, bright and settled conditions for most with variable cloud, leading to some pleasant sunny spells by day and patches of mist and fog at night. Winds will be light and so it should feel very pleasant in the sunshine. However, it will be quite chilly at night, perhaps with a ground frost in places. The north and northwest of the UK, mainly north and northwest Scotland, will be somewhat more unsettled with some heavier rain at times and stronger winds.
