Im given to understand that perhaps as many as 4 of Aberdeens better players could be leaving the club, the club having failed to offer them future deals which would keep them at the club. Chris Clark, Zander Diamond, Barry Nicholson and Michael Hart could all go. Yet again this is as big an indicator as it could be of the current boards complete lack of ambition and ability to provide the necessary funding to keep an SPL team functioning at a reasonable level. What is the point in having a chairman who is one of Scotlands richest men (Stewart Milne - the property millionaire) when said chairman is not prepared to put a single penny of his millions into the club? About as much use as a chocolate fireguard in my opinion. Stewart Milne is chairman of AFC purely because he enjoys the kudos of being an SPL chairman and because he has his greedy little eyes on Pittodrie Stadium as a future development opportunity.

If, as suspected, these players leave and that is followed by the departure of the manager , Jimmy Calderwood, then it is high time this board went, lock, stock and barrel. They have been, during their tenure, a no-ambition, no-money, do-nothing bunch of complete wasters. All the problems currently being sufferd by AFC can be clearly laid at the door of Stewart Milne and the bunch of crackpots that laughingly call themselves "the board". Time for Aberdeen fans to stop putting up with this and make their voices heard -MILNE OUT.

Agreed with every single bit of that.

If Calderwood does go, bring in John Hughes from Falkirk who's team play some great entertaining football and he has many football contacts to help attract players

Jimmy Calderwood signs a new 3 year contract - great news in my opinion. He may not be every Aberdeen fan's cup of tea but just look at where Dunfermline are now since he left them.

Yep, as I've said in previous posts Aberdeen have been riding there luck in recent weeks - this can't be maintained. So today's defeat was hardly a surprise. Hopefully my old school mate Stuart Duff will get a role in his more favoured central midfield position where he played for us (School team) instead of that p*shy full back role he had at Utd. Still, one defeat in 8 iis hardly a bad return despite inept performances. Haha!!!!!!!!!!! Robson has played his last match for Dundee Utd so Utd are going to be sh*te from now on!!! lol :) :o :) :)

Forgot to say thanks for taking Duff of us, god that lad was a heap of s*it* :D

Yup, reckon Robbo will be off to the green half of the bigot brothers to warm there bench for a while.

United up to third, I'm getting a nose bleed. :)

The problem with Duff was that he was being played at full back - when he played for us he was always a central midfield player - he is and always will be a centre midfielder.

Hope Robson doesn't go to the Old Firm - I hope Newcastle! I do think Robson is quality though - should've played for Aberdeen as he was brought up in Inverurie!

A new SPL record was set tonight when a whopping 501 fans turned out to watch the mighty DUFC hammer Gretna 3 nil at Fir Park.

The sooner Gretna disappear into oblivion the better.

I wonder who the 1 Gretna was?

This Gretna business is a complete farce and reflects very badly on the Scottish league structure as a whole. Gretna absolutely sailed through the third and second divisions, and were romping away with the first division until halfway through last season when the wheels started to come off. For what is essentially an average non-league club to get to the level of England's Championship without so much as breaking sweat is bad enough. To allow them into the Premier League with such scant resources or facilities must really, really rankle with Falkirk fans who at least had a ground and a history and a fan base. To then allow a club to go to the wall halfway through a season doesn't say much about the SPL either.

I know the Premier League is probably not a whole lot more competitive than the SPL, but it does have obvious advantages in terms of attracting players which equates to more TV revenue. However, I think it's reasonable to compare the SPL to The Championship which is such a vibrant, competitive league and well supported globally too. Something needs to happen and I can't see how running four divisions is the answer.

I expect further progress from Aberdeen this season. At least third again, perhaps second and one of the cups. About time we had a decent cup run.

Done well in Europe but losing today 4-3 was not good enough!

What an embarrasing defeat for The Dons today, can't imagine Oompah Loompah will keep his job after that. Four goals to a pretty average side is terrible.

QOTS will probably be in the UEFA cup if Rangers get to the final.

Delighted to see Dumfries and Galloway's top club reach the cup final. I wonder what their fans make of the Gretna farce.

No should be "goodbye Milne and take that bunch of losers that call themselves a board with you". Until we get rid of this shower of unambitious, tight-fisted amateurs out the boardroom door and get a real board with real money, real ambition and a real clue how to run a professional football club Aberdeen will go nowhere.

Stewart Milne of Milne Homes, a man with a personal fortune of something like £240million and not one penny of it leaves his pockets to fund AFC. The tight-fisted Aberdonian joke made flesh and blood.

To quote Oliver Cromwell "you have sat too long for any good you have been doing lately... Depart, I say; and let us have done with you. In the name of God, go!"
