£10 double on Wolves10/11 and Soton8/11 as home wins pays £32.98
boosts to £49 if you add Liverpool and Arsenal bankers @ 4 and 5 to one on!

There is so much noise,There is too much heat,And the living floor,Throws you off your feet
As the final day falls into the night,There is peace outside in the narrow light

Well Southampton lost Wolves did win but I guess Southampton losing kills it all.
Blades still struggling badly Robson has his work cut out to get the team above mid table.

To be honest considering your performance at the lane you'll be lucky. We're a poor side but you made us look good. I would say play off's best for you I'm afraid. Watford and Charlton to take the auto promo places. Wolves another play of team after that it can be anyone I think.
Shef United won't be there unless they loan another two midfielders I reckon they be mid table at most and Robbo given the boot at the end of the season.

I can't remember the last time we were solid at home like this. I also seem to remember going about 6 years during the Ferguson and Duncan era when we could simply never ever score from a corner.
What a refreshing change.

As for Ipswich - I'm really not bothered about promotion to the Premier League as I genuinally do like The Championship. I just like having a decent home record because for years, we've not.

You haven't seen the performances. Only one decent game out of eight which spells relegation. We've got a midfield that cannot pass tackle shoot let alone give our strikers anything to work off. Most of Beaties goals he's created himself and by the end of Yesterday he was looking well left trouser leged off. The defence is shipping goals because the ball keeps coming back. Basically we're in big trouble and without loads of dosh Robbo tends to get his teams relegated.

Yes, makes your earlier moaning about breaking up a decent team looks irrelevant now Nigel! West Brom will be up there at the end, no doubt.

Yes unfortunately i do like a moan, especially when it involves football
Ok i agree i did have a moan at the start of the season, Reason being i just couldnt see the point in breaking up a decent team . Then again Im not the GAFFA. There must have been some unrest in the dressing room, with a few players ,But it looks as though Mowbrey has got this one right> He knew what players he wanted and he went out and got them. and they have blended in well. I didint think it would work , but the new players have done well so far { ive never even heard of the majority of them} Just goes to show how much i know .And thats why i suggested it could take some time , for these new players to adapt., instead of taking half a season to adapt , they have played very well so far, and i hope they continue to play well!
Ive followed the Baggies for 40 year now {last six years whilst ive been living up here in the North East} and ive seen that many changes , Managers come and go , The Heartaches of losing in FA Cup Semi finals { one against Ipswich} ,The year when we beat Beat Valencia in the UEFA Cup 3 - 1 {with Mairo Kempes in the Valencia team as well! , then losing to Galatarasay in the next round away from home . Finishing second in the Old first division only to be pipped at the post by Liverpool . Yes those were the days . Oh the ups and downs of football,, Yes things have changed since then , I wish i could get to more games then i am going to at the moment , last year i went to about 3 or 4 games , reason being its around £140 for me just to go and watch the game now , thats hotel money, petrol, and beer money and food money as well. Its an expensive hobby for me now .
All i can say is that i will still follow the Baggies no matter what happens , even the wife{yes my wife is a Geordie} has tried to convert me to go and watch the TOON. I said no way , am i going to watch the TOON ,even though i only live about 3 miles away from the ground ,

Hi Nigel,
Most football fans like a moan to be honest, myself included! I could certainly see your point about the players you lost, the likes of Koumas and Kamara, and to be honest I too thought at the start of the season that West Brom may find it harder this year. However, you have to give credit to Mowbray for getting the players in that he has, and how quickly they have gelled together. He's got a good looking squad there and they will only get better as they continue to gell.
I know what you mean about money as well. Fans are being priced out more and more nowadays, and thats reflected in the lower attendances we see. Very sad.
