Hi all Pete and I have decided to disembark from the UKSTORM van and have booked in at Super8 in Spearfish on the i90 in South Dakota, 2 reasons for this Firstly I have contracted "West Nile Fever" from a blinking Bug (Moskito) who I am seriously going to Microwave pull its dam wing off and trample to death!!! it has caused me to be most ill the past 2 days but I am now on mend. Second we chased into Montana with Paul a week ago -----and I aint doing it again! 1 raod ----count them! 1 road in 1 road out there are no options you have to travel about 100miles to change direction  not for me folks, so James and Tom have dumped us off at Hotel and set off towards the 2% Tornado risk area, we hope we can chill and catch some lightning tonight :drinks:

I have just looked that one up, quite shocking :drinks: Get well soon. Good luck with the lightning.

Here is what i found b/w :-

West Nile fever in humans usually is a febrile, influenza like illness, characterized by an abrupt onset (incubation period is 3 to 6 days) of moderate to high fever (3 to 5 days, infrequently biphasic, sometimes with chills), headache (often frontal), sore throat, backache, myalgia, arthralgia, fatigue, conjunctivitis, retrobulbar pain, maculopapular or roseolar rash (in approximately half the cases, spreading from the trunk to the extremities and head), lymphadenopathy, anorexia, nausea, abdominal pain, diarrhea, and respiratory symptoms. Occasionally (<15% of cases), acute aseptic meningitis or encephalitis (associated with neck stiffness, vomiting, confusion, disturbed consciousness, somnolence, tremor of extremities, abnormal reflexes, convulsions, pareses, and coma), anterior myelitis, hepatosplenomegaly, hepatitis, pancreatitis, and myocarditis occur.

Recovery is complete (less rapid in adults than in children, often accompanied by long-term myalgias and weakness). Most fatal cases have been recorded in patients older than 50 years. Many of the West Nile fever symptoms have been reproduced in volunteers with underlying neoplastic disease who had been inoculated with virus to achieve pyrexia and oncolysis.

The spell check went into overdrive on that one, medical English...

Regards,

Russ

Lol.

The mountains!! The mountains!

Tell me about it....it takes less than mountains to stop storms reaching me from the west. In fact, all it takes is a 600 meter ascent.

Hope you are feeling better Steve, You sure looked rough the other day when we left you, bloody Migis, poor Stewart had them dining on his legs when we were in South-West Texas a few weeks ago. Good luck for Monday & Tuesday, we will be waving at those Anvils when we take off from DFW Monday Evening! Made the most of some Mountain Storms yesterday, but like you they just hate leaving them damn hills!

Paul
