Great win for the Blades today. Wasn't too surprised as Newcastle looked an awful team midweek.

Some strange results today, with Sheff Utd, Charlton, Watford all winning and Fulham beating Everton and Wigan beating Bolton. :p

Dunno I ain't surprised Newcastle looked a very poor team midweek. Any team watching that performace would have gone let me have a go. We did it and apart from trying to score in our own net weren't troubled. Against Chelsea we gave too much respect collect shirts after we've beaten the opps.

Nice fight between Pardew and Wenger :) . What sort of an example to youngsters is that? Disgraceful as Pardew celebrated the goal then goaded Wenger who reacted in a very unlike himself manner. Also for Wenger to not shake hands, when Pardew offered his hand, is Wenger like a spoilt brat.

Also this weekend two incidents where complete morons threw coins that struck player's heads (Jensen of Fulham and Van-Persie of Arsenal). I cannot get into my mind what would possess somebody to do such a thing, just total disrespect for everybody including themselves.

Very good performance from spurs against Chelsea. anyway a good result for us hammers against a below par Arsenal, Henry was far from worth the 130,000 pounds he will get and while it was a tight match the first half Arsenal probabnly deserved a result, but the second half I'd give it to West Ham.

As for the Pardew and Wenger incident...as Wenger oftens says...."I did not see it"

The only strange thing about the match was we didn't win by more. That win has been likely given how we have been playing, all the way up to 16th yesterday! ;)

FA are going to investigate West Ham V Arsenal. I reckon ten points deduction for both. ;)
Funny to watch should have let them get on with it. Wasn't it Pardew and Royle a couple of seasons go in the playoffs????

To be honest, I'm surprised Graham Poll sent off John Terry after all he was only booked twice.

;) . We joked at the time that Terry should have thought himself unlucky to receive a red after just 2 yellows.

I saw arguments about the refereeing standards on the BBC Football forums; as usual with problems there were two camps, the "it's not fair" vs the "that's life" camps.

Generally, I think refereeing can/should be improved and the FA needs to look into ways of improving its overall rule book and making life easier for referees. However, it happens to every team so Chelsea can't put too much focus on that with regards their loss; to a large extent they lost because Spurs played well and exposed holes in their defence.

Can someone explain to me how Spurs can beat Chelsea, and then lose to Reading, no offense to the Reading fans here.

Because, despite the result vs Chelsea, Spurs simply cannot score enough goals.

The problem is actually scoring away from home in the premiership. I don't know what is the problem with the players.

Would help if players and managers stopped cheating. To err is human but when go players diving and rolling around all over the place appealing for throw ins when they know they've put the ball out what do they expect. Also the way Chleski mob the ref when a decison goes against them needs looking into.

On another note good two goals scored by the Blades this Saturday.

It seems to be quite common- Boro did it this year, and again last year, beating Chelsea but then losing to sides near the foot of the table. It happens with Arsenal and Man Utd as well.

Good points re cheating by PIT above. I remember Man Utd's players used to be famous for surrounding the ref whenever a decision went against them (even if it was correct), it seems to be Chelsea these days, probably because they're so used to winning.

With that play ground style defending we'd lose to Hackney Marshes second XI. Appaling marking and we obviously thought after beating Chelsea we we're world beaters.

Dunno how Middlesborough beat Chelski. They were one of the worst sides to come to lane so far this season but then they had one or two big name players swanning around on there ego's rather than playing to their abilities.
