I can hardly wait for the start of the new season, and our Ipswich's 1-1 draw with Boston Utd has certainly set my pulse racing. I'm certain of two things; we won't get promoted and we will lose to Colchester at Layer Road.

All views I express are either my own or someone else's, which I've copied because I think they might make me sound intelligent, but definitely not Paul's or Netweather's.

Good result for Southend today beating Stoke one-nil. Freddie Eastwood getting the only goal from the penalty spot.

Good to see Ipswich get the day's biggest attendance (25,400), but surprised to see Birmingham (24,200) West Brom (20,700) and Leeds (22,400) get fewer...especially Leeds. Talk about fickle fans.

Leeds are having to pay very high ticket prices unless Bates has had a change of heart which I doubt. Certainly effected last seasons gates for Leeds.

Completely my own fault for trusting a friend who is an Ipswich fan, he sent me a doctored match repport from the Ipswich Vs Palace game which stated that Ipswich had won convincingly 1-0! After the disaapointing start we had to last season, I could not bring myself to read the match reports. I should have checked for myself before slating the nearest available Ipswich fan in a fit of depression.
So just to make up for it, I luv you OON and Ipswich....Thanks for the win!
Steve.

Disappointing to see that Ipswich are the only team not able to manage to draw with Woves, despite having a penalty and playing ten men.

That is bad... really bad.
Since it started snowing my wife has done nothing but look through the window. If it gets much deeper I'll have to let her in!
If the ball had gone in the net it would have been a goal.
If my Auntie had been a man she'd have been my Uncle.
