One Foot In Reading...and The Uea Visit

Posted by Nick L, 11 March 2010 · 118 views

Got my January exam results today - and they were a success! The subject where I had most concerns - physics - is now looking much more rosy. Got a B in it, and a good B at that, 70/90 with just 2 marks off an A. That now means I only need 54% of the remaining marks to get the B I need overall. Got 81/100 in my Maths exam which is also an A, and I am now on very comfortable ground to gain the A I need (need an average of 60% in my remaining 2 modules).

In short, I now need an absolute disaster in the summer to avoid going to Reading. Oklahoma 2012 here I come :yahoo:

I also visited East Anglia Uni yesterday. One thing I didn't like about the uni is the "concrete jungle" nature of it compared to Reading. But I suppose where it lacked beauty it gained in practicality as some of the halls were right next to the Environmental Sciences block! The distance from home also was a downpoint. But with my exam results today it should be Reading I will be going to in September :)

Congratulations Nick, that is excellent news! :D

I am also well on the way to university life, having formally been accepted onto the Geography and Environmental Management course at the University of Central Lancashire. I can't wait for September!

All the best for the rest of your exams mate.
Cheers Paul. Congrats on getting all your uni stuff sorted as well! I can't wait either, will be a totally new thing, will finally be surrounded by people who are as insane about the weather as I am :D

Cheers Nick. It's all good, and I am sure you will love every second of it!
You will certainly love the aggressive intake of Alchohol.
Well it's a legal requirement to aggressively drink alcohol as a student isn't it? Don't think I have much choice
I've only just seen this but well done on those results nick!

Uni life sure is amazing, but it really flies by, I'm going to be in my last year next year, and thats a horrid thought, may have to do a masters just to not have to do full time work still :p
